Venture into the forests of Vall de Ribes and enjoy a guided experience exploring nature and the season’s wild mushrooms. Join an expert guide to explore the rich landscapes of the high mountains and the region’s long-standing culinary traditions centred on wild mushrooms.

Led by an experienced mountain guide, you’ll learn to identify the region’s most common wild mushrooms and tell edible species apart from inedible ones.

Along the way, you’ll enjoy breathtaking high-mountain scenery, peaceful forests, and panoramic views over the valley. We’ll also stop to enjoy a rustic mountain breakfast featuring locally sourced produce.

At the end of the experience, you’ll enjoy a traditional Catalan lunch at a historic restaurant in Fornells de la Muntanya, renowned for its more than 100 years of hospitality.

Requirements

Bring a basket for collecting wild mushrooms, along with appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear for walking in the forest.

Recommendations

No previous experience is required. Just an interest in nature, local food, and spending time in the mountains.
